Andrew Hilton - Stratford Sloths
I grew up in Stratford, Ontario and started playing soccer from the age of five. After high school, I continued to play competitive soccer through university and beyond — always looking for a team to play with and the fellowship that comes with it. A career in journalism and communications took me many different places, and I was fortunate enough to live and work in Canada and internationally — and to play soccer almost everywhere I lived and travelled: Beijing, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Geneva, Shanghai and Tokyo. After I relocated to Stratford during the COVID pandemic, walking soccer was the only option available to continue playing on a regular basis without risking frequent injuries. I’m grateful to still be playing soccer at this age and I’m honoured to represent Canada at the World Nations Cup later this year.
