I was born in Palmerston, Ontario, but moved in 1997 to Alberta, where I still live. I spent my whole career working in the agricultural field, and still operate my own crop consulting business. I played recreational soccer, both outdoor and indoor, mostly on defence and in goal, in various leagues in southern Ontario and, after moving to Alberta, I played in goal for many years. I stopped playing running soccer due to injuries, but my goalkeeping experience in the indoor game gave me the skills to play goal in walking soccer, which I started in 2022. The next year I was selected to represent Canada in the inaugural World Cup of Nations in England in 2023, where we came 4th. I was honoured to receive the Outstanding Goalkeeper Award in our age group, registering two clean sheets and only three goals against in four games in the first round.
