Fatima Harris (Co-Captain, GK) - London Walking Soccer
I was born in southwest Ontario and have lived in London since I was eight. I'm of African/Italian/Indigenous descent. I'm a Therapeutic Recreational specialist working with children's health and wellness, but I also drive a truck for Canada Post. I started playing soccer at eight, progressing from recreational house league through high school. I was top college goalie in Canada, played semi-pro in Miami and have represented Canada in various competitions around the world. Soccer is important to me because it's the universal sport. I grew up poor and soccer was our route to happiness, family, friends and social bonding. I found out about walking soccer when my coach asked me if I wanted to try a new form of soccer. I've been hooked ever since and I'm honored to represent our country, introducing a new sport that people of all ages and all abilities can play.
